Urban Infrastructure Management System – GEOINFRA

Analyzing the recent past, the issuing processes of the Term of Permission to use to carry out works on networks and infrastructure equipment in urban areas were carried out in a physical way, however, with the advent of Decree 59.108 on November 26, 2019, such procedures became digital, in view of that the aforementioned decree instituted the Urban Infrastructure Management System – GEOINFRA. The importance of GEOINFRA is highlighted, as we can see:

1 – Processes related to carrying out Infrastructure Works in urban areas on public roads have been carried out virtually, ensuring speed for public or private companies providing services within the boundaries of the municipality.

2 – In addition to the facility in registering works by the concessionaires /permissionaries, the best monitoring of the services performed, with a view to the possibility of locating irregularities, if they occur. Concessionaires and permissionaires that implement and install urban infrastructure networks and equipment for the provision of services public and private.

Implementation period

The System was instituted by Decree No. 59.108 of November 26, 2019, and has been used ever since.

Consistency over time

The System has been perfected since the year it was instituted and currently is standardized for the issuance of authorizations for the execution of works and services of infrastructure, a system that links other departments with the aim of giving speed in the procedure and greater practicality in the management of existing works.

Evaluation of the Good Practice

The Urban Infrastructure Management System is monitored daily by team, which is able to identify errors and guide companies interested parties in case of doubts or inconsistencies.

Key stakeholders and partnerships

The GEOINFRA system is a fundamental milestone in the transition of processes physical to digital, a practice that avoids the exacerbated use of paper and ink, today. Its main stakeholders are public or private companies that wish to carry out urban infrastructure works on public roads in the Municipality of São Paulo.
