Summing up we can say that regarding clean air the current policies, practices, or interventions are taking measures to reduce greenhouse gases, and air pollution and to stop climate change in Carinthia. With the various funding programs, the Carinthian residential building support makes a contribution to achieve the climate goals and the mission 2030 of the federal government.

Aim of the Good Practice

The aim of the residential building support is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and pollution. Furthermore, the aim of Carinthia’s residential building support is to focus more on the existing stock needs than the new constructions. Carinthia’s residential building support recently introduced new ambitious policies and finance like for example the impulse program „Get out of fossil fuels“ and „Erection of photovoltaic systems“.

Target Group of the Good Practice

The building sector can contribute significantly to mitigating climate change. Buildings are a central part of our daily lives and renovating existing buildings could reduce the total energy consumption and lower carbon dioxide emissions.

Implementation period

Starting in 2021 - ongoing.

Consistency over time

The structure of the guidelines and programs guarantees a long term performance of the funding policy for sustainable sources like solar, using energy efficiently and solid fuels, and supporting the Carinthian people to do renovations.

Evaluation of the Good Practice

Each year all specific « Impulse programs » will be evaluated and adapted on the basis of new technologies and challenges.
