Project Kärntner Kinderstipendium (Carinthian Children’s Scholarship)

(V.D.03) Education, (V.D.10) Vulnerable Families

Carinthia is taking another step towards becoming the most child and family-friendly region in Europe! The Carinthian Children’s Scholarship enables all Carinthian families to receive affordable child education and care and represents a massive financial relief for the parents. The Carinthian Children’s Scholarship supports the costs of education and care without meals. If the actual parental contributions are lower than the stated funding amounts of the child scholarship, the rest remains with the respective legal entity in order to be able to guarantee high-quality offers.

With the start of the kindergarten year 2022/23, 100% of the average prescribed parental contributions will be refunded. The children’s scholarship is paid 12 times a year. No application is required – the children’s scholarship is automatically credited, and the prescriptions are reduced by the respective amount. With the children’s scholarship, we give all families the opportunity for their children to attend a high-quality and affordable facility.
