Project “Family in the Center 3”

Within this Project, an integrated support system for families has been created, which is being implemented in all powiats (counties) of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. The project provides the possibility of comprehensive and specialized support for families experiencing difficulties in acting care and educational functions. In every poviat Family Support Center was created, where families are diagnosed and an individual support plan is developed.

In 2022, 2.150 people were supported in the project, of which 1.200 were children. Forms of support implemented include specialist psychological, pedagogical, and legal advices, speech therapy and psychiatric counseling, family therapy, workshops for parents, workshops for developing children and youth skills, family supervision, family mediation, family support groups, preventive and educational classes for self-empowered pupils. Among the professional courses there were for example: „Communication and emotional management training”, „Therapy of children with anxiety disorders”, „Mindfulness training in working with children and youth”, „Methods of working with a children escaping from foster care”.

In addition to direct support, the project implements educational activities aimed at the local community for the development of family forms of foster care and strengthening the staff – improving the competencies of people in charge of family foster care.
