Jovem Candango is a Federal District Government Program (GDF) that aims to promote methodical technical-professional training, through practical and theoretical activities, compatible with the physical, moral and psychological development of the apprentice, incorporating learning into Public Administration , promoting coexistence and strengthening bonds and ensuring the integration of young people into the job market.

Aim of the Good Practice
Promote coexistence and strengthen bonds and ensure the promotion of the integration of young people into the job market.
Target Group of the Good Practice
The target audience is made up of young people aged 14 to 18, who are attending primary or secondary education in a public educational establishment in the Federal District, or in a private institution as a scholarship holder, except in the case of completing basic education and who fulfill one or more of the quota lists for the inclusion of young people in specific situations.

Implementation period
The program was created by District Law No. 5,216/2013, regulated by Decree No. 40,883/2020 and amended by Decree No. 41,199/2020. In June 2020, and is still in force today as public policy.
Consistency over time
Since learning creates opportunities for both the apprentice and the Public Administration of the Federal District, providing fundamental preparation for beginners to carry out professional activities in different situations in the job market. This type of initiative, in addition to training young people, encourages the creation of income and their retention in school.

Positive and highly relevant in the state, many of the young people selected have an income that makes a difference in terms of family.
