Aligned with the needs and demands of Primary Care, the technical area proposes to expand the existing integrative therapeutic resources in the Unified Health System (SUS) in the city of São Paulo. The modalities offered are Traditional Chinese Medicine (which includes Acupuncture, Phytotherapy, Diet Therapy, body and meditative practices), Integrative Community Therapy, Phytotherapy and Medicinal Plants, Circular Dance, Traditional Indian Medicine (Yoga, Shantala ), Laying on of hands, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Massage Therapy, Naturopathy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Chiropractic, Osteopathy, Homeopathy, Anthroposophic Medicine, among others. In the Municipal Health Department of São Paulo, the organized technical area has existed since 2001, and its offer has been gradually increasing, being available in most health units. The objective is to expand the possibilities of choices for self-care and the use of light, sustainable technologies based on scientific evidence.
