HOP – Global Communication Strategy to promote eco-responsible Behaviors and Initiatives

(V.D.01) Housing, (V.D.02) New Technologies, (V.D.06) Clean Air, (V.D.07) Transportation

The HOP initiative is a global communication strategy developed by the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône to promote eco-responsible behaviors and initiatives among citizens, municipalities, and within the administration in a fun and interactive way. The HOP campaign thus aims to make the territory less dependent on fossil fuels, to improve the living environment of families, and to create a culture of sobriety.
For example, a platform offers tools, guides, and simulators allowing one to apprehend the ecological stakes and to become an actor of the change.

HOP also includes a financial support scheme for households, which can be combined with state aid and aims at encouraging families to undertake eco-renovation work in matters of insulation, heating, installation of solar panels or other environmentally friendly equipment.
