There are two funding levels for heating cost support. Whether and which level of support is granted depends on the household income.

The “large” heating cost subsidy amounts to a one-time payment of € 180, subject to a monthly income limit of € 1,100 net for single persons and € 1,560 net for household communities of 2 persons, and supplements of € 270 for each additional person.
The “small” heating cost subsidy is a one-time payment of € 110, subject to a monthly income limit of € 1,250 net for single persons and € 1,730 net for households of 2 persons, and supplements of € 270 for each additional person.
About 18,000 applications are approved per year. The annual funding for this amounts to approximately € 2.8 million.
