UMAPAZ is a Coordination, therefore, one of the SVMA sectors responsible for promoting environmental education in the Municipality. The promotion of environmental education takes place in two ways: offering varied training, with varied methodologies and territories; evaluation, support, partnership, dissemination, and promotion of environmental education activities in other sectors and with state and non-state actors. With regard to its divisions and equipment, UMAPAZ has a range of sectors focused on all aspects of the subject, from agroecology and gardening to scientific literacy, including encouraging a culture of peace and socio-environmental sustainability.
