Development of actions for the School Health Program – PSE

(V.D.04) Healthcare

The School Health Program (PSE) is an intersectoral strategy, formally agreed between the State Departments of Health and Education, which aims to promote health, provide health education and prevent diseases and injuries in the school environment.
It should be noted that it is not a program that aims to carry out assistance activities at school, but, during collective activities, students with specific needs can be identified and referred for monitoring at the UBS.
It is carried out in public schools in the FD that voluntarily join the program, in partnership with the territory’s leading UBS. In the current biennium (2023-2024) we had the highest participation in the history of the program in the DF (505 out of 780 schools; 65%), which has grown continuously with each cycle.
