The goal is to make all buses in the municipal fleet available with wireless internet access, USB outlets for recharging mobile devices, and air conditioning. In 2019, new municipal public transport service concession contracts were signed. Such contracts provide for several improvements in the functioning of the system. With regard to comfort and amenities on buses, by 2024, 100% of buses operating in the city will have wireless internet service, USB sockets for recharging mobile devices and air conditioning. With the provision of these services, citizens will be able to take advantage of their travel time with the possibility of using mobile devices to carry out other leisure or work activities.

Consistency over time
Ensuring that 100% of the municipal bus fleet has wireless internet access, USB sockets for recharging mobile devices and air is a goal that is part of the 2021-2024 Goals Program of the Municipality of São Paulo. At the end of 2022, 35.2% of the municipal bus fleet was equipped with WiFi internet access and USB sockets for recharging mobile devices. The perspective is for a significant expansion during 2023 to reach the goal in 2024. Thus, the population of São Paulo will be able to use public transport with increasing comfort.
