Aim of the Good Practice

Due to the mission 2030, the aim is to increase the current rates of renovations to achieve the climate goals. The main goals of Carinthia´s residential building support are renovating buildings to high standards of efficiency, defining how much energy is consumed in and by a building, and how much heating, ventilation, and cooling energy is needed to create a pleasant environment.

Target Group of the Good Practice

Due to the development of energy prices und high inflation housing prices strongly increased. Furthermore, there is an overall trend towards more part-time jobs and precarious forms and towards more vulnerable household types – for example, single-parent households or low-income early retirees.

Implementation period

Ongoing

Consistency over time

The main question is how to concentrate more strongly on the neediest while keeping sustainable, mixed-income, culturally diverse housing estates. This should not be a radical change, but a continuous and careful process.

Each three years guidelines and funding programs will be evaluated. The output of the evaluation represents the basis for the new programs.
