It is the aim to develop the site into a modern, international logistics hub, that connects roads and railway transport systems in the most efficient way with the optimal suitability as a dry port in the hinterland of the ports of the upper Adriatic Sea.
The successful conclusion of the rail customs corridor project: At the end of 2022, the contracts between the customs authorities in Italy and Austria were signed. The deployment of a pilot shuttle train is planned for the 2nd quarter of 2023.
