A seminar was held by sociologist Paulo César de Oliveira on the theme “quality of life at work and impacts on advisory action”, which was part of the program of the 10th Human Rights Festival of the SMDHC, and which was based on research carried out by Paulo, with the objective of making a partial reading about the quality of life and health of the members of the 52 tutelary councils (TC) of the Municipality of São Paulo. When the aforementioned survey was carried out, a questionnaire ” QVTs – Quality of Life and Health at Work” was applied, with 40 (forty) alternative questions, adapted by sociologist Paulo César de Oliveira, advisor to the Cabinet of Councilman Danilo of the Health Post, based on a model developed by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The SMDHC/CPCA sent the questionnaire via Google Forms to the TCs mailing to be answered between November 18 and 25, 2022. Of the 260 (two hundred and sixty) directors, 206 (two hundred and six) voluntarily adhered to the questionnaire, with a positive return of 79% (seventy-nine percent). In the approach, the following themes were raised: I) the best interest of the child/adolescent; II) advisory action, role, and attributions and III) protective measures – family and SGD. During the Seminar, reflections on the responses collected by the questionnaire regarding health, body – health, and disease were discussed. At the opportunity, the advisor reflected on the following aspects: mental health (reading, visualization, planning, and writing), physical health (exercise, nutrition, stress management), social and emotional health (help, empathy, synergy, and internal security) and spiritual (clarity of values and involvement, study and meditation). Reports were brought during the meeting on the theme of the Seminar and the counselors present pointed out the need for mental health care so that the counselor action can be carried out in the best possible way, always guaranteeing the best interests of the child and adolescent. A counselor also brought up the reflection that the mental health of counselors can be affected not only by issues involving the counselor’s action but also by the personal problems that counselors face on a daily basis that are not directly related to the TC. In conclusion, the action that took place on December 7 at the Polo Cultural do Idoso in Cambuci, with the participation of 51 counselors, was a moment of reflection and sharing of anxieties and other issues related to mental health care and the impacts on action counselors.
